Movie update, part two…
The day after my last email to you (like this one, that is), on March 14th, I woke from a dream in which I sat with an envelope in my lap.  I opened it to discover that I had been sent “like” a check from the winning lotto numbers.  As you might imagine, in the dream, I erupted in a bouncing-off-the-walls excitement.  Subsequently, our contract with a Hollywood-connected screenwriter, to make a movie out of Corridors in the Sky, did arrive in the mail…but there was zero financial compensation offered through the contract.  No bouncing off the walls that day!

We laid it all before the Lord, inquiring of Him, and entered into rest that He would guide and we would follow.

A few days later, I reached out to an author who is well-acquainted with publishing and has seen many “success stories” in this difficult profession which produces odds of “making it” that are similar to wining the lotto.  More athletes make it to the big league of the NFL and its Superbowl than authors who have their book hit the top-10 list or the silver screen of movie theaters.  That means, greater than the NFL, many, many authors invest their hearts, souls, finances, energies and lives into hitting it big in this field…only to find that they’ve washed out of publishing their message to the masses and have no place among the stars whatsoever.

In fact, look at how my author-friend, who makes his living off of serving this industry, replied to my ask for wisdom, “…You really don’t have any chance of making your book into a movie, it is for all intents and purposes, zero. UNLESS something like this comes along, where a person in the industry is offering to help. They write scripts and know people in Hollywood. If a movie is going to happen for you, it will be with the help of this person. What is that worth to you? I am an author, and if it were me, I’d sign fast and thank them with all my heart… you should not feel bad about money, she is not buying your book, she is offering to help because she believes in it and you…she is being very helpful, and…it is like winning the lottery, getting this person on your side.”

What, “like winning the lottery”?!

I went back to look at this contract; the screenwriter signed (& mailed) the covenant on the same date that my dream depicted I had an envelope with [like] a check for the winning lotto numbers in my lap!

Proverbs 16:33, “The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the LORD.”

It wasn’t “random” that I dreamt such a thing on the same date that the screenwriter signed the contract and sent it to me in an envelope – it’s my “lot”!

Psalm 16:5  The LORD is my chosen portion and my cup; You hold my lot secure.
Psalm 16:6  The boundary lines have fallen for me in sweet, pleasant and agreeable places; indeed, I have a delightful inheritance.
Psalm 16:7  I bless the LORD who gives me counsel; in the night also my heart instructs me.

Yesterday, our Lord dropped a certain song in our hearts, one born out of 1 Kings 18:44.  We rejoiced in its message of hope, of a flood of rejuvenation & strength from God.  I commended the song and passage to someone else.  This morning I discovered that Lana, all the way from Australia, published the same notion/passage on today’s date!

So we are moving forward folks, following Jesus by entering into a covenant with a Hollywood-connected screenwriter.  We ask for your continued prayers and support for this most holy and earnest labor as we believe this project will glorify Christ, liberating masses to worship God in Spirit and in Truth.  We can only do God’s will together!

Daniel 12:3, “…those who turn many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever and ever.”

May the glory of the LORD be praised in His dwelling, you!

through Jesus’ Name,
